Cassi Fredrickson has lived in San Antonio, Texas for 10 years. She and her husband Rick moved to San Antonio from Minnesota on military orders. They both loved the community of San Antonio and decided to retire from the Air Force and settle here with their three daughters.
Cassi has over 27 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education. She has a Paraprofessional Certification, a Child Development Associates Credential, and is currently enrolled pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a Business minor. Cassi has worked for NAEYC accredited schools, non-profit organizations, and ran her own small business at Dyess AFB in Abilene, Texas. She worked for West Rusk ISD in East Texas with Head Start, and Pre-K. She moved to their Special Education Department and enjoyed serving the children and families. Cassi was part of the Reading Intervention Program at West Rusk and accompanied several of her student to work with them in this department.
In her spare moments, Cassi enjoys spending time with her family. She especially loves to spend time in a hammock reading a great book. She has a daughter and son-in-law who live in East Texas, and two daughters who live here. She and her husband enjoy walking their two little dachshund dogs, Bella, and Frankie, and spending time at the beach.
Cassi hopes to help equip teachers and encourage them to pursue their educational goals. She is an advocate for children and families, and is so happy to be part of this great team at LHWS!
