    Cassi Fredrickson has lived in San Antonio, Texas for 10 years.  She and her husband Rick moved to San Antonio from Minnesota on military orders.  They both loved the community of San Antonio and decided to retire from the Air Force and settle here with their three daughters. 

    Cassi has over 27 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education.  She has a Paraprofessional Certification, a Child Development Associates Credential, and is currently enrolled pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a Business minor.  Cassi has worked for NAEYC accredited schools, non-profit organizations, and ran her own small business at Dyess AFB in Abilene, Texas.  She worked for West Rusk ISD in East Texas with Head Start, and Pre-K.  She moved to their Special Education Department and enjoyed serving the children and families.  Cassi was part of the Reading Intervention Program at West Rusk and accompanied several of her student to work with them in this department. 

    In her spare moments, Cassi enjoys spending time with her family.  She especially loves to spend time in a hammock reading a great book.  She has a daughter and son-in-law who live in East Texas, and two daughters who live here.  She and her husband enjoy walking their two little dachshund dogs, Bella, and Frankie, and spending time at the beach.

    Cassi hopes to help equip teachers and encourage them to pursue their educational goals.  She is an advocate for children and families, and is so happy to be part of this great team at LHWS!

    ILsany Torres was born and raised in Puerto Rico (United state Territory). She moved to San Antonio 10 years ago and has over 20 years experience as a Business Manager, Executive Administrative Assistant and as an Accountant. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She attended school for medical billing and coding and received national certification in specialized area. ILsany has spent time as a long term substitute teacher for EISD and NISD. She loves being a part of the Laurel Heights Family and looks forward to getting to know our students and families in the years ahead.

    Mrs. Torres is married and has a teenage son and two stepchildren. She loves to travel, decorate, sew, knit, read and enjoys quality family time.

    Gracie Huron has worked for Laurel Heights Weekday School for almost 40 years. She served the children of Toddler 1 for most of those years, but left the classroom to come help in the office in 2017. Gracie is a graduate of San Antonio College and earned her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Early Childhood Studies. She serves the Laurel Heights United Methodist Church community in various capacities. She is the Parent’s Night Out Director for the Laurel Heights United Methodist Church. This program provides developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants through pre-k. PNO is available to families of the church twice a month. Gracie enjoys spending time with her son, daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. She is an avid collector of Coca Cola items, and an active person in her community.
